Impressionist Paintings that I like

I have always liked Impressionist era art. Through this gallery I hope to understand why I am drawn to this area of art.

Monet was attempting to capture the effects of London's legendary fog on the view of the city. I love the colors and shading in this piece.
Having workid on the ocean most of my life, I love the way Monet captures the strength of the ocean in this painting.
I love the reflections on the water is this piece. And the almost simple way it is painted yet it captures so much.
Mary Cassat captures perfectly a mother's love and a child's curiosity.
Degas was known for his paintings of ballerinas. Some of them are very colorful. This one is almost in black and white, but is very beautiful.
A beautiful capture of boats by Manet. Just the sails on the boat in the fore. Color and hue draw me to this painting.
Renoir was able to capture the youth and freshness of this little girl.
Monet spent many hours painting scenes from the pond he actually created on his property. Again, the colors in this piece are beautiful.
