Inspired moments from Operation Iraqi Freedom - David Osisek

In this gallery collection are mediums and art that were inspired by the general occurrence of Operation Iraqi Freedom and the occupation of Iraq from American soldiers, Australian soldiers, and British soldiers which started in 2003 and ended in 2014. A lot of these photos are relatable to people who have been deployed or dealt with or been effected directly by this.

This is an original deck of playing cards, known as Iraqi “Most Wanted” cards. These cards were issued to all soldiers in Iraq. These were issued so you would memorize the faces of those that we were searching for.
Seong Ryong Kim’s painting shows just how violent human nature can be and what we can become in and during a war. You can go from a soldier to a monster in an instant.
