Van Gogh painted this in barely a month, he painted this with loose brushstrokes. This is my favorite painting.
The marks in the painting create a shimmering effect that Cézanne called "vibrations of light." I like this painting because it appears to have only blue, green and brown but if you look closer it has yellow, red and violet.
The composition is governed by strict horizontals and verticals cutting across each other even when interrupted are parallel. I like this painting because it's so detailed.
