Virtual Exhibition by Zachary Youngblood
A virtual exhibition of paintings I enjoy by the artist Edvard Munch.
The Scream, being Munch's more famous painting, to me shows what I feel at times. Just wanting to "let it out".
I enjoy looking at The Self - Portrait with a Bottle of Wine and thinking what the artist is pondering. Is he lonely or just alone enjoying a bottle of vino?
At the Roulette Table in Monte Carlo, is also a favorite. Did Munch have a gambling problem? Was he winning?
Munch's painting Matabolism. Is this where we originated?
In Munch's work The Haymaker, I've thought about the laborer and what his life was. The artist must have been struck with an idea while watching the rythmic sway of the scythe.
The Scientist / Alma Mater by Munch. A nurturing mother.
Anxiety is another favorite by Munch.
Workers on their Way Home by Munch. I wonder what influenced the artist. Where are the workers returning from?
