Landscapes of Italian Paths

This copy of Both's original is possibly created by Both himself! I love how the artist chose such a simple topic, yet was able to make it so intriguing.
This painting is dated in the second half of the 1640s and I still find it exceptionally alluring. I'm very fond of this piece because of all of the subjects to look at.
Both has certainly traveled to Italy before and this painting suggests that it was painted in Rome. I really enjoy the detail on tree and man.
