Van Gohg's approach to this landscape was not exactly precise as many ladnscape paintings are, but it adds a certain feeling of freedom and expression that others dont.
As you can see, Alsina took a much different approach than Van Gogh with this painting, the lines are more precise and the landscape is depicted more naturally.
Once again, Van Gogh isnt exact with his lines, yet his depiction is very accurate for the subject matter.
This is a very interesting landscape, there is a lot of symbolism taking place here, and it doesn't take much to figure it out. but rather than portray a location, the artist expresses a thought.
