A Family Affair

This gallery includes Zeus(Jupiter), Poseidon(Neptune), and Hades(Pluto). In which paintings, portraits, and statues describe the connection in the family. In the end, as whole this family shared a family of incest.

Poseidon is the god of the sea and protector of all aquatic features. He married Amphitrite a sea goddess. In this painting you see Poseidon and Amphitrite sailing on the creation of the first horse. The colors capture both characters perfectly.
Theseus is the founder-king of Athens and was the son of Aethra by two fathers: Aegeus and Poseidon. In this painting his is killing the minotaur. The painting is so power because he's the only one who presumably made it out alive after doing it.
In this portrait the beautiful detailing in lines and shading are amazing. You can see everything from the seamen to the boats. From this portrait i get that there was a whole community of seamen.
Zeus was the god of the sky and ruler of the Olympian gods. Also known as Jupiter. His weapon was a thunderbolt which he hurled at those who displeased or defied him. This statue shows how powerful he was as a greek god.
I chose this engraved portrait because of how much was going on in it. The shaped and detailing are so precise. It really shows the power he possessed then.
Apollo was the son of Zeus and Leto, twin brother of Artemis. He was the god of music, and he is often depicted playing a golden lyre. He was also known as the Archer, far shooting with a silver bow; the god of healing, giving the science of medicine to man; the god of light; and the god of truth.
Real name Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, twin sister of Apollo. She was the goddess of chastity, virginity, the hunt, the moon, and the natural environment.
Real name Hades is the brother of Zeus and Poseidon. He becoming lord of the underworld and ruler of the dead. He was mainly interested in increasing his subjects, and anyone whose deeds resulted in people dying was favoured by him just like his brother Poseidon. In this photo he has abducted Persephone and carried her down to the underworld.
Hades(Pluto) and Proserpine. Proserpine was the daughter of Zeus and Demeter and became the queen of the underworld. The same Demeter that encouraged Poseidon to created the first horse ever. In this painting it seems that Proserpine is with him by default from the detailing her facial expression.
