If I hadn't become a teacher, I think I would have become an archaeologist. It can be a lonely occupation, but by seeing into the past we have a better view of the future.
I love the colours in this picture, and the perspective from the shadows. The young girl looks like she is moving with her one foot in the air.
This looks like an earlier version of the previous painting. Similar arches and the idea of the shadow. Interesting to see how the artist developed an idea over time.
I really like the way Chirico uses colour in his paintings.
Perhaps more abstract than surreal, but I found the colours in this painting attracted my attention.
Not sure why I like this, but you can look at it for a long time and the longer you look, the more you see.
