Cats as companions

The artwork chosen for this exhibition depicts cats as loving companions. The majority of the artwork has "cat" in the title. This shows that if cats were not the main subject, they were a very important part of the artwork. This exhibition encompasses artwork from 1350 BC, with a cat included in a painting on a tomb wall, to a present day (2000) oil on canvas. In between are artworks from many different centuries and different cultures. The artwork is in reverse chronological order. Enjoy!
