Still LiNe Reform

My gallery is a movement I'd like to call the “Still Line Reform.” Masterpieces throughout this gallery capture the essence of movement with an emphasis on the Art Nouveau era. Art Nouveau is a term endeared from the French, which means “new art.” The new art genre released its debut during the late 1800's to early 1900's; as a response to the clustered and bold Victorian styled art. The natural lines of Nouveau art, has a harmonious connection to nature that is embodied in each piece; and it is the catalyst of this genre of art which brings every masterpiece to life. Art Nouveau allow the viewer to use his imagination to bring the artist’s vision to multiple real life and real time depictions. The Still Line Reform is composed of a variety of New Art that express a modern deco expression and a snap shot of movement in motion. It brings to life the beauty of a “still life” line and the artistry it creates when coupled with the curvilinear aspect and used in a fluid form, like liquid; to create the concept of motion. Each piece in this gallery, while in “still” form; will display some form of motion where every piece has lines and a symmetric flow of motion that flows as smooth as blood flowing through human veins to reach the human heart. The presence of an entrance and exit point exist in the formatting of each piece while the oxygen of each piece circulate infinitely at center mass. The center of each work is the crux, being filled with an infinite space of enclosed motion.

I chose this style of art because each piece will express a message through its motion, it displays how movement and emotions connect. The force of each movement or expression is captured within each piece of art, whether it be on a canvas or in sculptured form; that frozen record of force projects without explanation. The vertex of movement within each piece throughout the Still Line Reform gallery connects to feelings of growth, motivation, spirituality, inspiration, fashion, hope, determination, beauty, power, heroism, desire, love, freedom and the future. Enter into my gallery and let your eyes wonder. When looking at any piece in my collection, your eyes will not stay still; movement is the core of this galley. Once you enter the Still Line Reform, you will find yourself envisioning the scene of the canvases and even reenacting the range of motion in your mind. The same holds truth for the objects within the gallery, you will find that your eyes follow the directional path of the outline of the object itself, sometimes even envisioning it spinning or moving in the direction of the outline. On objects with details engraved into them, you began to see them come to life.

This painting just flows, it moves from left to right like liquid; telling the story of an old man and a young lady. Each scene is a snapshot of motion frozen, but in that moment a entire story is told. In this story the old man declares his love for the young lady as she continuously resist. This triptych recreates the essence of persistence. However, in this story; persistence doesn't pay off.

I am truly inspired by this work of art, though at first glance it appears to be the aftermath of a lava lamp exploding onto and dripping down a dark green canvas; the essence of movement is all through this painting. This painting moves...as it moves me. The core of this work is a visual of when the old collides with the new, when the older generation must face the younger generation and acknowledge and even get a glimpse of the future. To me this is a snapshot of life and death simultaneously. The baby represents new life, the older person represents past life and the grapes, still life; freeze this moment allowing life and death to occupy the same space. The roots and connections of all the trees and living plants throughout the painting, represent how the old and new generation is connected and feed off one another. Growth is not present without the presence of a strong older-oak tree.
