This Japanese white pine called thousand-year pine from the art research center at Ritsumeikan University is a form of delightful art. The reason why I picked this Japanese Bonsai picture is because I appreciate the beauty of its decorative aspect to resemble nature and peacefulness. I also enjoy looking at this picture because of the beautiful bright green leaves and how the white background represents a peaceful and bright atmosphere.

The reason why I picked this piece was because it shows a visual account of the people and the event that is taking place. This piece also demonstrates that Jean- Marc Nattier wanted to share a certain place and time that he had experienced with his viewers.
The brass head for the use in the worship of Osun created between 1700 thru 1799 is a form of worship and ritual art. The reason why I picked this piece as my example was because this brass head of Osun the goddess of water is what Nigerian people use for their ceremonies and religious beliefs.

The reason why I picked this example was because this painting of a women selling or handing out beer harnesses the power to influence action and opinion to people of that time era.
The Self-Portrait created in 1899 by Paul cezanne is a form of self expression art. The reason why I picked this example was because this traditional self-portrait was a way of getting his viewers to understand his personality and worldview.
