art 100 cassandra bowers

I like paintings where you can still see all the brush strokes, the Monet and van Gogh ones specifically, I like the chaos in the brush strokes that when seen from a distance make detailed and almost calm pieces of art. I like when you zoom in to them that they look hastily thrown together, it looks like the artist didn't spend time to think through where the strokes are placed, it looks like a mess, but then you look at the painting from across the room and you can see that each stroke is placed exactly where the artist intended to make a detailed and specific scene. I also love the still life paintings because my great grandma's painting style was very much like that and my style is very much more towards realism, I like to look at those paintings and wonder at the work and time that went into them.
