Assignment 13

Islamic religious art prohibits the use of people. Christian art brings religious scenes and beliefs to life using actual people in its art.
Islamic art uses a lot of arabic writing in its art. This writing is usually verses from the Quran, or sayings in praise of God. Framed Quran verses are among the most popular art in Islamic culture even today.
This would be allowed in non-religious art, but not in religious art because the Muslim people must not worship any person, but instead the spirit and thought of God. Even a Prophet like Muhammed is not to be worshipped but only mentioned within prayer.
