FAith and Death

There two paintings represent death and faith, that are key topics in the book Night that explain Elie's experiences in the Holocaust. 

This represents death because of all the surrounding corpses. This painting is from the concentration camp Bergen-Belson which deals with the book Night and the Holocaust.
The Pegasus is riding into the unknown. This relates to "Night" because Elie had is faith in God, but he was unsure of the journey God had for him. Even though he experienced harsh times, he survived
