Ceramic ceremonial vessel with drawings of mythological faces and head offerings (left) ML031892, Nasca style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I choose this piece because I liked the lines and characters.
Gold headdress that represents a mythological being with bird, feline and snake traits ML100541, Chavin style, 1250 BC - 1 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I picked this one because I like the repeating pattern. If you look around the figures you can see a hexagon, so there is a repeating pattern of hexagons and each hexagon has a figure in it.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents various episodes of the battles of Ai Apaec, the mythological hero of the Moche, with marine beings ML018882, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I like the figures on the inner rim vessel, but I also like that on the outside there are different shapes that go around the vessel. It looks like the image on the outer side of the vessel repeats.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a mythological scene ML013669, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I like all the little details on this vessel, there are just so many tiny details put into this piece. I also like the pattern of waves above the main image and the other pattern at the bottom of the suns.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a mythological being using a nose ornament (left) ML040357, Nasca style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I picked this one because I liked the face on the vessel. I drawn in by the lines of the mustache because I like lines and patterns.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a mythological scene of rebellion of the objects ML010849, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I picked this piece for it's art. I like how there is a story depicted on this vessel, just the detail needed to make this story is pretty impressive to me.
Sculptural ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a mythological scene of navigation to the islands ML003202, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I liked this one because it looks like a fish. I picked it because it has good attention to tiny details.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a mythological scene of the deciphering of the spotted lima-beans ML013623, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I picked this one for the repetition of what look like peanuts. Which then drew my attention to the figures surrounded which look to be animal like.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a scene of ritual offering and consumption ML004112, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I like all the repetition in this piece, and when you look past the repetition you can see the story on the vessel.
Ceramic ceremonial vessel that represents a scene of presentation of the cup to the main gods ML010850, Moche style, 1 AD - 800 AD, From the collection of: Museo Larco
I was drawn in by the repetition on the upper part of the vessel. Then I noticed the figure on the lower half and all the detail put into it, and I liked all the little details.
