Curated By: Emily Bosco: This theme of mountains is displayed by the works I chose because each work has a different view of the mountains, Some of the artists were looking down at mountains, across at them, up to them or down from them. Each of these different perspectives adds contrast within the gallery which is contradicted by the similar color palete and shapes in each piece. Even though some pieces are painted while others are drawn, all are unified by deep greens, and oranges.I chose this theme personally because I hiked Mount Washington over the summer and there was visibility of over 100 miles. I took many photos of that view but I was interested to see how important artists and other infuential people viewed mountains.
