The Christianity In Art is an exhibit that shows Christian artwork throughout the Museum. Each work of art shows important moments in Christianity. First, the museum features Adam and Eve. The last artwork is The Risen Christ. These works of art are from different periods but all demonstrate the Christian life.

Adam and Eve, Albrecht Dürer, 1504, From the collection of: The Morgan Library & Museum
This is an artwork that shows Adam and Eve and their enticement that lead to them being banned from the garden. I chose this piece because Adam and Eve were God's first creation of humans.
The Virgin Mary, with the Infant and Saint John the Baptist, Lucas Cranach the Elder, 1509 - 1512, From the collection of: Brukenthal National Museum
This picture is of Christ's earthly mother. It is a very important artwork for my gallery because without virgin Mary there would be no Jesus.
The Sacrament of Ordination (Christ Presenting the Keys to Saint Peter), Nicolas Poussin, c. 1636–40, From the collection of: Kimbell Art Museum
The painting displays commissioning of peter as a leader of the church. We till this day do somewhat of this in churches. Preachers get ordained to be the leader and preacher for the church.
Christ on the Sea of Galilee, Eugène Delacroix, 1854, From the collection of: The Walters Art Museum
This artwork captures one of the many miracles Jesus performed. All the many miracles Christ did lead more people to Him therefore this is an important piece.
Ceiling of the Chapel of Eleonora of Toledo, Agnolo Bronzino, 1540/1545, From the collection of: Palazzo Vecchio Museum
This artwork shows good and evil. The good is beating evil. God will always win and overpower the devil. So I chose this artwork because it displays how powerful God is.
Christ on the Cross, El Greco (Domenico Theotokopoulos), 1600–1610, From the collection of: The J. Paul Getty Museum
Christ on the Cross is everything. He washed away our sins and trusted in The Father even though Jesus was in so much pain. This artwork is very powerful and important to Christian religion.
The Deposition of Christ, Agnolo Bronzino, 1545/1553, From the collection of: Palazzo Vecchio Museum
This is after Christ was removed from the cross. His mother Mary is holding Him while the angels are above representing the crucifixion of Jesus. The artwork shows the hurt but also the beauty.
The Risen Christ, Gian Lorenzo Bernini, 1673-1674 (Baroque), From the collection of: The Walters Art Museum
I chose this artwork to be last in my gallery because it portrays Jesus rising after the cross and Him reaching toward Heaven. God called His son back to Heaven after the crucifixion.
