Monet's Series

As Monet became more and more interested in the fleeting moments created by the sun's path through the sky, he began to paint series. Working en plein air, he captured snapshots of hay stacks, bridges, churches, and gardens. These works, originally exhibited together are now dispersed across many of the word's most prestigious Museums. This gallery has collected some of the series in hopes of giving 21st century audiences an understanding of the original exhibitions and Monet's process.
