The Thinker is a bronze and marble sculpture made by Auguste Rodin. The man is sitting on a rock thinking which has become a symbol of philosophy and stands the test of time as that symbol for today.
Located in Liberty Island. NY and made of copper - The Statue of Liberty is an icon of freedom for the US and welcomed immigrants. The most common element of the statue is the distinguished green color.
Christ the Redeemer was Designed by Silva Costa and was created by Paul Landowski. This statue was made with concrete and soapstone tiles and is 120 feet tall, 92 feet wide and weighs 635 tons.
David was created by Michelangelo from 1501-1504. Made of Marble and represents the biblical hero and also known as an icon for defense of civil liberties. His eyes glare towards Rome as a warning.
Mount Rushmore, one of the most famous of all sculptures was carved into the granite mountainside of 4 presidents. This sculpture covers 1,278.45 acres and has 60 foot sculptures.
