For “ReBoot Culture” famous cultural institutions welcomed young musicians to their exhibition spaces to perform live concerts.

The performances break down stereotypes and barriers and show that art and music, no matter what kind, can and should take place in any cultural venue.

"Moving people unites the participants of ReBoot Culture and us at the German Oceanographic Museum. The mysterious depth of the sea is particularly suitable as a stage for New Wave and other musical currents."

"We are thrilled that we were able to offer Wanda and Mavi Phoenix, two fantastic representatives of the Austrian music scene, a stage at the TMW as part of ReBoot Culture. In their performance, both explore the technical possibilities in music in different ways and thus put our museum under a special tension."

"I think it's a great idea to have pop musicians perform in the Gemäldegalerie. We don't want to be an elitist temple of art, but a place where young people can meet and exchange ideas. It is very important to me to break down fears of contact. Music and painting have a lot in common, both speak to our feelings, trigger something in us. Cloudy June's lyrics often revolve around female self-empowerment. They also encourage us to question the role models that many of our paintings depict."

"As an opera house, we want to convey that we are accessible to everyone and always make people curious about opera who don't automatically come to us. Actions like the ReBoot Culture sessions help to break down clichés and break down barriers. Especially after the past pandemic years, which were not easy for live culture, I think it's extremely important that artists and institutions show solidarity across genres and support each other."

"I find it exciting how young artists in particular are repeatedly inspired by nature. As a place, the Natural History Museum stands for exactly that: for nature! By opening up our research collection, we also invite artists to incorporate the diversity of nature's treasures into their creative process. Nature and music belong together."

"The beauty of our work at the museum is that we are always confronted with new things - new people, new groups with whom we can explore creative possibilities together. This was also the case with the Google Arts & Culture's ReBoot project - the music videos created at the Belvedere as a result are unique!"

ReBoot Culture - Interview with Christof Wolf (2022) by Diffus

"Zollverein is a monument, museum and world heritage site, but at the same time an architectural icon, company headquarters, event location, park, land of joggers and dog walkers - and of course a place of culture. We offer an incredibly wide range of events and projects. The concerts by ART and Edwin Rosen have once again brought a different color to the World Heritage Site and shown once again what a wonderful connection place and music can form here."

ReBoot Culture - Interview with Carla Zimmermann (2022) by Diffus

"Zollverein is an open place of encounter. The buildings, museums and collections are accessible to all. We support artists in working with and on the site. The ReBoot Culture Sessions stand for exactly that, that we offer a platform as an exhibition and event location and that Zollverein becomes a production site for artists."
