The sculptor is named after a major piece of his in the Dutch Town of Elsloo. The figure wears a scallop shell breast-plate and the Burgundian Order of the Golden Fleece.It could represent a Miltary saint. In the 19th century the figure adorned the Great Hall at Scarisbrick Hall, Lancashire.
