An etching titled, Barque in the Rotterdam Harbour by the Dutch-Canadian artist Anthonius Philippus (Antoon) Derkzen van Angeren (1879-1961). The ship in the Rotterdam harbour is called a Barque, which is a three mast ship with square rigging. Short Biography: Antoon Derkzen van Angeren was born in Delft in the Netherlands in 1878. He first worked at the Porceleyne Fles ceramic factory as an artist after which he moved to Rotterdam in 1911 and became a lecturer at the Academy for Fine Arts where he worked until 1943. In 1952, he immigrated to Canada where he passed away in 1961. Derkzen van Angeren is seen as the founder of graphic art in Rotterdam.
