A dark green shell-shaped glazed earthenware (slip cast) vase produced by the pottery or studio of Boksburg East Potteries (1947-1950s) in South Africa. BEP (Bepware) or Boksburg East Potteries was established in 1947 by the South Africa Glazing Company Pty Ltd who produced affordable, inexpensive 'luxury' ware utilitarian ceramics for South African households. Often moulds were shared and so same items may be company marked BEP, or Lucia ware.
