Composition in earthy, blue, white, orange, violet, green, yellow and black tones. Smooth and thick texture and spatula usage. Composition representing a boy kneeling beside the a sheep lying, against barren landscape background with hills. The boy and the sheep are in the center of the composition, on the left is the animal, which is white and is lying in profile to the left, with straight forelegs. His head is resting on the left palm of the boy, who is by his side, kneeling on the left leg; its trunk is slightly down as his head is turned towards the sheep. His skin is represented in greenish tone, has dark hair and facial features just suggested. He wears a shirt in orange and yellow tones forming squares, pants in shades of violet and is barefoot. His left hand is serving to support the animal's head and his right is stroking the neck of sheep. The scene takes place on a flat, dark ground, hills and blue sky can be seen along the horizon line.
