Composition in yellow, ochre, earthy, red, blue, green and black tones. Rough texture. Group of mounted knights and figures walking in mountainous landscape. In the foreground, on the right, three horses profile to left, diagonally from right to left and front to back, the first of them is light brown, the middle one is blue and the third is brown. They are mounted by uniformed riders wearing hats, boots and a kind of long jacket. On the left, woman standing in profile to the right, with her arms up, wearing a kind of red tunic. Geometrized rectangles are spread across the floor. In the background, on the left, three standing figures in the same position of the women in the foreground, two of them facing forward. On the right, a further row of horses, three by three towards the back. On the third level, two geometrized hills with tree trunks and three human figures and on the right , added cavalry bypassing the hills. The soldiers have faces and hands painted in red and three of them hold banners with also red flags. To the back, continued landscape, blue sea and green hills. The high trunks of the trees are cut by the upper edge of the support.
