The title of this work is a reference to the legend of King Casimir and Esterka. A major part of the woodcut is occupied by the figure of a girl. Distinctive features of Kazimierz are also visible. The artist included an outline of a fortified tower and castle in the distance. Esterka is carrying buckets of water, just like the frequently depicted water-carrier. She is surrounded by goats, which were typical features of Kazimierz landscape in those times.
