Vistula River Museum in Kazimierz Dolny

Kazimierz Dolny is one of the most recognizable towns in Poland, the "town of artists", the set of many movies and shows, the "Pearl of the Renaissance", but above all it is a place with a long and rich history.

The Vistula River Museum has six branches. Four of them are located in Kazimierz Dolny. They are the Kuncewicz Family House, the Celej Family Tenement House, the Goldsmith Museum and the Nature Department. Two branches outside the town are the Żmijowiska Settlement (Wilków municipality) and the Janowiec Castle. Diversity forms the specificity and value of the collection of the Vistula River Museum. The collection has over 20,000 exhibits. Buildings housing the museum departments are no less valuable. These are: Celej Family Tenement House, Ulanowski's Granary, "Under a Squirrel" villa of Maria and Jerzy Kuncewicz, the wooden buildings from Gościeradów and Modliborzyce relocated to Kazimierz Dolny in the 1970s, and the Janowiec Castle.
