Female Nude

Antonio Nardi (1888-1965) developed his artistic activity from 1910 to 1965 in the city of Verona, where, from 1924, he taught the painting course at the Accademia Cignaroli. He received his education at the school of Alfredo Savini and, after undergoing experiences that were oriented toward the Viennese Secession, in the 1920s he expressed himself with rigorous and sculptural forms with strongly connoted colors, leading some critics to compare him to the Magic Realism movement. One of the artist's favorite themes is the female figure, as can be seen in "Female Nude".
