Fragment from Kazimierz

This small piece by Zdzisław Jasiński shows his interest in colour and light. At the time, the artist had abandoned painting created under the influence of Munich painters. He was more attached to French painting. The vibrant market life provided marvellous inspiration for exploring colour possibilities. This subject also allowed for capturing the daily life of a small town.
