  • About Creator: Manoel Galdino de Freitas (1924-1996), or Master Galdino, of the so-called Vitalino School, from São Caetano, Pernambuco, is the rebel who dares to go beyond the master, producing ceramics that stand out from the other artists in Alto do Moura, where he chose to live after quitting his job at Caruaru City Hall. About him, Lélia Coelho Frota (2005) observes: "He always lived in poverty, being forced, in some periods, to perform services of various kinds in order to survive and manage to remain in art."
