Adolfo Mattielli (1883-1966) attended the Cignaroli Academy in Verona and later completed his studies in Venice. From 1907 to 1924, he participated in the International Art Exhibition in Venice. Among his most important commissions were the four half lunettes depicting the seasons, which were placed in the Scuola Magistrale Superiore in Pisa. From 1924 on, he devoted himself to sacred art, frescoing more than fifty churches between 1925 and 1960. The triptych "Harvest in Soave", representing a country scene, was exhibited in 1910 at the Venice Biennale and purchased there for the Galleria d'Arte Moderna in Verona.
