The elegance of the greyhound is found intact even if the animal is caught at rest, with the highlighting of the muscles and ribs, which indicate a strong concentration and, in the hind legs, a strong immediate push to resume an upright position and the run. This modeling thus renders the nervous tension that dominates the specimen, despite the apparent immobility accentuated by the erect and attentive muzzle that looks straight ahead. It has a collar around its neck to indicate that it is a valuable pet that needs to be controlled by its owner.
