Laveno on Lake Como

"Laveno on Lake Como" is a view by German landscape painter Julius Lange (1817-1878). After attending the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich, Lange moved to the Düsseldorf Academy of Art, becoming a student of Johann Wilhelm Schirmer. In the course of his artistic activity, he obtained an important series of commissions, including a request for two large canvases from the Brera Academy in Milan and a series of sketches to be used for landscape painting courses from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
