Liza Grobler was Social Fabric artist-in-residence. We profile some of her other artworks. Liza's artworks are conceptual but informed by unusual use of materials and craft techniques. The work is a nest or space made from pipe cleaners installed under a pedestrian bridge in Mexico. The colour of the pipe cleaners is the national colour of Mexico. This work was part of a series by Liza where she installed nests where she traveled, with the colours chosen based specifically on the site. Besides Mexico, she also installed nests in Soloturn Switzerland, Johannesburg South Africa, and New Delhi India.
