Milking Time in Anticoli Corrado (La Hora del ordeño en Antícoli Corrado)

The municipality of Anticoli Corrado in Italy inspired the painter and features in many of his works. This painting depicts the town square in a costumbrista scene. The protagonists are a herd of goats being watched by a group of women and children focusing on the animal being milked. In this mature work, light is everywhere, the colors are bright, and there is shadow interplay, creating a harmonious composition.
