Monturiol's Ictineo

Engraving featuring five suggestions for how the Ictineo should be used, with the following legend: “Cutting coral, entering caves, connecting pipes, carrying the end of a rope to the water’s surface, and collecting rugose coral”. The purpose of the engraving was to impress upon the reader the great possibilities of the invention, and to attract possible investors.
