The nautical chart drawn by Vicens Prunes in Mallorca in 1600 is made up of five sheets of parchment. The first is the front cover, and is illustrated with a Calvary and a circular world map. The first page of the map shows the Atlantic coasts; the second details the Atlantic coast of the Iberian peninsula and North Africa; the third shows Western and Central Mediterranean as far as Greece, and the fourth covers the Eastern Mediterranean, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov. The atlas is signed and contains the inscription “Dn Francisco Brotons / [A.W. Carta de navegar ]”. Prunes included figures of kings, ships, cities with their flags, different types of fauna and flora and compass roses.
