The religious culture of wuzhen has been flourishing since ancient times. There are native religions such as Taoism,as well as foreign religions like Buddhism and Christianity. In the Southern Liang Dynasty, Wuzhen had a certain scale of temple buildings, up was 53 at its peak period. Architectural forms include Buddhism temples, Taoist temples, towers, nunneries and so on. Numerous Buddha local gods and industry gods were worship here. Now only in Wuzhen West Scenic Zone, there are many religious places. Nearby is Shifo Tmple and Ciyun Temple, which shows that the incense is very prosperous. Wuzhen's religion has accumulated the essence of Chinese traditional culture, and also expresses the wishes for good fortune and stability by town people.
