Mauro Fiorese (1970-2016) is an artist, photographer, teacher, curator and videomaker trained at the IUAV in Venice, attending the course of History and Technique of Photography by Italo Zannier. In the photographic series "Treasure Rooms" Fiorese reveals and recounts hidden places, usually not accessible to the public, research and study environments, depository of history and art, identity of the museums themselves. The artist photographs the strorages as real Wunderkammer: attic rooms closed by gates, underground dark tuff or external deposits, but also beautiful themed rooms with brightness, humidity and temperature controlled, necessary for the perfect preservation of so many masterpieces that in these extraordinary places, and so different, rest.
