- About Creator: Antônio Poteiro [Antônio Batista de Souza, 1925 - 2010] learned the ceramics technique as an adult from his father, whose production was limited to the so-called "utilitarian". Manual skill, fine sensitivity and strong religiosity brought out Poteiro, a rare interpreter of the "marriage of an earth art with themes from the creation of the world" (Frota, 2005).
