Head of a young warrior in profile from the chest up in heroic Renaissance style. His face is hidden under a dressy parade helmet decorated with Roman scroll motifs. There is an impressive fantastical animal figure on the top. Bonasone was an illustrator and engraver working in Rome and Bologna. This drawing dates from the first third of the 16th century: his Bolognese period.
