Community members bring their contribution of food baskets to the main platform in the community assembly house. After blessed in a Christian manner, they are redistributed among participants in the order of social ranking, by calling out their chiefly titles loudly. This way of redistribution called pwekipwek, which is also done for other prestige food such as yams and pigs, actualizes and visualizes the privileged honor of the recipients, therefore social hierarchy, through verbal and physical actions.
