One of the earliest group photographs of female medical graduates at the University of Edinburgh depicts the MBChB class of 1906 (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery). It shows 13 women and bears their signatures, although one of them, Mary Deborah Hancock, was not a MBChB student. There was a further female MBChB graduate that year, who graduated in absentia.
