Portrait of Feliciana Bayeu y Merklein (1774–1808), the only daughter of Francisco Bayeu and Sebastiana Merklein, at the age of 15. This work's style is different from the academic formality of Francisco Bayeu's other portraits, being loose and almost sketch-like. The painter is an excellent portraitist who trained in the Mengs tradition. He makes sure to give this work a feeling of proximity and familiarity. The Prado Museum (Museo del Prado) has another Bayeu painting of Feliciana completed a few years earlier.
