At the south of Dingsheng Bridge, there is a well and a statue called Marshal of plague. According to the legend it was set to commemorate a scholar who devoted himself to protect the local people. People hope that he can drive out the plague away and bring fortune to them. The image of Marshal of Plague is horrible and angry. In ancient time, because of the undeveloped health care, people felt fear of plague, and they set Marshal of Plague to pray for health and peace.
