Founded in 1987, Generics aims to preserve, safeguard and promote the history of immigration in France and Europe. And research organization of cultural creation on the history and memory of immigration in France in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, it uses scientific and cultural activities. Located at the crossroads of academic, institutional, and cultural associations, Generics contributes both to establish links between these various French and European players, to encourage work on the history of immigration and to raise public awareness on the contribution of foreign populations at the national and European history.
