The MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts (formerly: Contemporary Art Center of Thessaloniki), based at Warehouse B1, Port Area, functions as a space for the promotion of experimental artistic projects, which transcend boundaries and distinctions, require the involvement of local communities, for their completion, and engage actions premised on contemporary art interventions in public space.
In line with recent developments and trends in contemporary art, the MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts showcases the synthesis of arts and expressive mediums, the interdisciplinary-hybrid relations and the interconnection between science, technology and art. Among others, its founding goals are to regularly conduct open invitations, to participate in exchange research networks and mobility programs, to support young artists, to contribute through educational programs to the relationship between art and audiences, and to focus on systematic collaborations with organizations in Greece and internationally.
The MOMus-Experimental Center for the Arts pursues to communicate the multiple views and perspectives that artistic creation can provoke, defining the appropriate infrastructure for the evolution of coexistence
and collective action through contemporary artistic practice.
