This unidentified mushroom, possibly a Pholiota species, grows on a tree bark in the forests of Mt. Dulang-dulang. Fungi are severely understudied in the Philippines.

Talugkos
A female Mindanao Hornbill (Penelopides affinis), endemic to the island of Mindanao. Known as "Talugkos" to the indigenous peoples of Bukidnon.

Tungkang
The Mt. Kitanglad Range Natural Park is one of the few sites where the endemic Apo Myna (Goodfellowia mirandia) can be found. The bird is called "Tungkang" by the indigenous peoples.

Kalumbata
The Kitanglad tribes call the critically endangered Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga jefferyi) "Kalumbata" and consider it sacred, believing if one is slain, a child from the tribe will also die.
