GLOBAL TEKNO CELEBRATES THE NEW MILLENNIUM
Jacques Chirac, former French president, had chosen to celebrate the start of the Millennium with several events, including a gigantic exhibition in Avignon. The radio had Le Transfo, a former electrical factory from the 1930s, with a surface of 300m2.
As in 1996, Global Tekno produced an exhibition accompanied by satellite events, such as the concert by Laurent Garnier and evenings with electronic players from the South. For three months, this edition attracted nearly 30,000 visitors.
