9. Old Fourah Bay College
At Cline Town, Eastern Freetown, lie the ruins of Africa's first western-style university. Established in 1816 as a Christian institution, Fourah Bay College gained a full university status in 1827. The old FBC, is a symbol of history civilization to Sierra Leone and Africa.

10. Bunce Islands
Bunce Island has always been a premier heritage tourist destination. Located in the Sierra Leone River, it was a former British slave fort from where captives were shipped to the Americas. Bunce Island is uninhabited but exists as a site of memory for African Americans.
